Mrs. Johnson Needs Oil!
Quote from N.C. after I told the class that I was practicing what I learned at tap class cause I'm a little bit rusty: "Mrs. Johnson's like the Tin Man! She needs oil cause she's rusty!"
It's true. Now that I have been taking B12 and actually feel "normal" I signed up for adult tap classes on Wednesday nights. It was fun even though I wish I was more of a natural when it comes to learning physical things. I've been practicing, so hopefully I'll be a little better this week.
In other news:
Last Friday I went back to my old work for a friend's retirement party. I never thought that I would go back there again and I certainly didn't think I could do it and not feel crappy. But I feel great and I have a dream job. I showed off my wedding photos and told everyone about my wonderful new job. (I really love my new work.) All of my old co-workers couldn't believe how awesome I have it.
I also got to see Lisa and baby Erica! Lisa looked so natural with Erica in her arms. It was awesome, as soon as Lisa saw me she handed Erica right over to me and Erica fell asleep in my arms! Erica is a cutie. She has big cheeks and teeny tiny lips, and she has the roundest head I've ever seen! Of course my old co-workers were all like "Oh, does that stir something up in you?! Any buns in that oven yet?! Look, you put her right to sleep! You're a natural!" And no. No buns. No desire for buns in this oven yet at all. I'm loving my work too much to have kids right now and become a stay at home mom. Plus I'm only just becoming a real adult lately. (I can't believe I'll be closer to 30 than 20 on my next birthday, yikes! I don't know what I'll do when I have to tell people that I'm 30. So weird. But that isn't for another 4 years thank God.)
I saw the secretary who's totally bi-polar -- she was on a high and gave me a hug. She also told me how bad things are there, as did everyone else who still works there. I even saw my old principal and didn't turn into a sheep like I always used to. I tried to avoid having much contact with her, but the few times that she talked to me were fine. But she may be really hating me soon, cause I asked Gretchen, my old assistant, to come work with me cause...my assistant resigned!
And if Gretchen bails on them now to come and work with me, my old principal will be pissed for sure! Keep your fingers crossed that Gretchen will accept the postion.
More about my assistant resigning:
I feel badly that I was so sour on her in the beginning, but something about her just rubbed me the wrong way. Not to mention that she DOES NOT know how to talk to children, so that right there gets under my skin cause I hate allowing someone to bark at my kids. But, she's not an evil person or anything, so I do feel badly that I was so negative.
Anyhow, she is resigning because her back is killing her. She has arthritis in it and is going to have a second preceedure done on it, but doesn't want to keep wrecking it by working in Kindergarten with such little chairs, low tables, and shoes to be tied. It's just too bad that she didn't come to this conclusion before school started so that I could have had the same person all year, but she says she didn't realize how bad it really was and would be in Kindergarten. So yea. Her last day is December 1st. Hopefully we'll have a replacement lined up, cause report cards and conferences are right around then too. Potential for stress looks good. But whatever, I just hope I can get someone who is good with kids.
Phew! So that's the latest news on my end. What's new in your life? No seriously, comment and tell me what's up. K, I'll keep checking to see who does! Brownie points are on the line here people! Get em!

Hi Jenny,
Glad things are looking up for you. I need not share the details of my life here; that would be stealing your spotlight! You know where to go for updates on us.
Seriously, keep your chin up and you are doing just fine!
Hey ya Jenny!
Well you want some news, I have something. Dave and I have been on Weight Watchers for almost 3 months ago, and we have both lost weight. I am up to 16 lbs gone, and Dave is 18.2 lbs gone. Yay! We are still working on our goal weights, so the next time you see us, you may be doing a double-check. Woo-hoo!
Jenny,
Glad to hear that things are going well for you. Good Luck on the Tap Class. I have 2 left feet when it comes to that stuff for some reason. Swing Dancing I can do.... Tap/Ballet/Jazz... I make a total fool of myself:)
Not much news here. Good luck on the new assistant!
Jenni
