Um, just stuff to tell ya.

My Hidden Talent = an eye for scrap booking
I've started scrap booking my wedding photos with Lauren and I LOVE how it's coming out. Of course I bought one of those pre-made kit thingies so it helps a lot, but I don't settle for anything but a killer layout/color combo. So it's exciting.

In other news...
Jay took his first MTEL (MA Tests for Educator Licensure) yesterday. He should find out the results in a month, so keep your fingers crossed.

Today Jay and I are going to our co-workers house to see her son on MTV's Made! From Geek to Chic. Check it out if you can.

Questions:
Does anyone know of an interesting, fun, not too hard, workout tape? I've started doing one of those walking tapes and it's not bad, but it doesn't have any fun music and the lady's a total nudge. Hopefully I'll keep doing it, but no promises.

How about some book recommendations? My last few books haven't been page turners with the exception of Harry Potter 7. Some of my recent reads:
1. The Devil and Ms. Prim by Paulo Coelho
Didn't even get through the whole thing...
2. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
I did like this one, but not my favorite ever...
3. I'm a Stranger Here Myself by Bill Bryson
Quirky like me, but still haven't finished the last few pages and it's been a LONG while...
4. Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs
Too freaky and depressing ...

So any help to find a seriously good book would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! It's me! Lori's-cousins-best-friend-Karen! (also known as Jay & Chris' friend from the Hood)

I read your blog and it makes me laugh because we tend to go through the same things at the same time. I am an IBS queen, too. Mine has just started getting worse, but I think it is b/c of stress.
I watched that episode of Made & laughed my butt off. I loved the end when he started making out with some random chick. How did his mum like that part?
Work out tape: Denise Austin is the best. The workouts are short (about 20 minutes) and she always tells you how great you are for taking time for yourself.
Hmm, good book...well, I don't know you at all, so this is tricky. I loved the Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I think it may be my favorite book of all time. David Sedaris has a bunch of books that are short essays about his family and life. I find myself laughing out loud when reading them. If you want something girly and mindless, but yet satisfying like chocolate, try Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner.

Books you say - well there is this author by the name of Sophie Kinsella.

She writes a few series about this girl who is a Shopaholic and can't stop. One of the titles is Confessions of a Shopaholic. It all takes place in England, and it is absolutely funny as ever! I could be reading one moment, the next moment laughing from a few sentences. Some great british humor I tell ya!

Some of the other titles are Shopaholic Ties the Knot, Shopaholic and Sister, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, and Can You Keep a Secret. I have read them all. If you wanted to borrow a few from me, I would certainly love to share these with you.

Let me know!
