Lost Love

I haven't done too much so far today, but the one thing I did do was watch Fight Girls on Oxygen. It's awesome and you should totally TiVo it right now. The show was very inspiring and makes me think a lot about my karate days. During my last days at karate I was actually getting pretty good, with much more focus and confidence. I really like forms and wanted to try competing in the same turnament that Jay did. I think I'd be crushed if I didn't get first place just like Jay, but for some reason I invision myself loosing because I never seem to able to reach a goal like that.
I really miss karate, but I don't know if I can go back and if I do I don't think it will be to my old dojo. Sensei Matt taught me a lot, but I think I need to try something different for a while. The other issue is time. I want to get back into the martial arts but I also want to give everything to my teaching, and a little bit to my role at home too. So that leaves just about nothing for hobbies like the martial arts. I could easily take classes on the weekend, but once or twice a week, just isn't really enough. Ah, I dunno. Karate has always been a love hate thing for me and it continues to tear me up. Dramatic -- I know.
Anyhow, I'd like to look into a different form of martial arts and I started by trying to find a dojo online, but my searches have sucked so far. Most likely I'll put it off and continue to feel badly about the whole thing. Well, I'm a realist for sure, huh? I know I'd get into again if Jay did, but I wish I was able to motivate myself. Well, there's still time...
So...who wants to practice their punches, get junk food, and watch MMA fights on TV with me?! That's one hobby that Jay got me into that I really enjoyed. Right now, as you know we're in the WOW phase, which isn't too bad either, but doesn't involve all of our guy friends coming over to chill, which is my favorite part of our hobbies. Hopefully our next phase will bring the guys back into town. Are you humming "The Boys Are Back in Town" like I am?
Okey-dokey. Hasta la pasta people.
